Kristín Einarsdóttir Mäntylä and Eva Þyri Hilmarsdóttir pianist perform songs to poems written by Heinrich Heine and Jónas Hallgrímsson.Apart from being amongst the most influential poetsof their times, the two poets had many other things in common. Kristín and Eva Þyri compare the two, and perform some of Heines poems translated to Icelandic by Jónas. The songs are written by Atli Heimir Sveinsson, Clara Schumann, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Franz Schubert amongst others.
